← Play Fold & Flourish

How to play exquisite corpse

  1. Gather two or three people around the same device. Choose the player count and Start a drawing.
  2. Player one draws the head, or the top half in a two-player game. Leave connection lines at the bottom edge.
  3. Choose Fold & pass. A cover hides the canvas before you hand the device to the next player.
  4. The next player opens their section. They see connection marks, while earlier drawings remain hidden.
  5. The last player chooses Unfold the drawing to reveal the complete creature.

Make your own marks

Choose a brush color and stroke width. Draw with your finger, a stylus or a mouse. Eraser removes part of the current section; Undo removes the last stroke. Clear section asks before clearing this player’s drawing and keeps earlier sections.

Two players or three?

Two players draw the top and bottom halves. Three players draw a head, a body and legs. The result can be a person, animal, monster, machine or something entirely new.

Keyboard drawing

Focus the canvas. Arrow keys move the cursor; hold Shift for larger steps. Space begins a stroke, arrows extend it, and Space or Escape finishes it. Tab moves to the tools.

Keep the surprise

This is a pass-the-device game. It does not send drawings to remote players. Connection marks show only where brush strokes meet the previous section’s lower edge.

Save your creature

Choose Download PNG after the reveal. Your browser saves a 720 × 1080 picture. Drawings also save in this browser as a draft. When you reopen a drawing in progress, the current section starts covered so a different player cannot accidentally see it.

Starting another drawing asks before removing the saved draft. Download the finished image first if you want to keep it. To play away from screens, fold paper into two or three sections and take turns drawing, hiding each completed section before passing it.
